A few weeks ago, I attended the Central Lakes Association of Realtors Land Planning Summit. It was an amazing informative summit illustrating all the great projects and future for Durham Region, along with some of the challenges that are facing the Region and Municipalities. I was able to learn and see a lot. One thing that I came back with was, I strongly suggest that everyone get more involved in giving their opinion on municipal and provincial politics. Some of the ideas that seemed to be floating around in the land planning circles don't seem to take everyone into account.

Attended a great presentation from CHMC (Canada Housing and Mortgage Corporation) on the Economic Real Estate Outlook and ECO Improvements Programs. It was presented by Willam Wang from CHMC, Jacki Bozanis CIBC and held at our office at Sutton Group Heritage Realty. Highlights are that lower interest rates are forecasted for the 4th Quarter of 2024 or the 1st Quarter 2025. For now the market continues to be active with lots of activity from both sellers and buyers.
