With great pride, On September 26th, 2006, Cristian received the 2006 Diversity Community Award from the Town of Ajax. In 2005 The Town of Ajax launched a new Volunteer Award Program that recognizes those individuals that have shown exceptional dedication to a specific area of volunteerism.

Cristian was nominated in recognition for his dedication in promoting Diversity in the Town of Ajax, by volunteering his time with many different social and cultural associations. The ceremony was held at the J.Clarke Richardson/ Notre Dame Community Theater.

The award was presented to Cristian by the Mayor of Ajax, Hon. Steve Parish.
